Anne Hathaway says you ain’t see nothing yet on her Catwoman Costume!

anne-hathaway-says-you-aint-seen-nuthin-yet-on-her-catwoman-costume-in-the-dark-knight-risesWell, not exactly, it’s remarkable she said anything at all.

Knowing how tight-lipped the “Dark Knight Rises” stars are about the films, how tight-lipped they are contractually obligated to be, it is startling that Anne Hathaway was given leave to remark on the Internet’s collective “meh” at last week’s photo of her in a completely un-feline goggled outfit that most hope is not indicative of the true and final Catwoman outfit.

“I was not going to admit it (but) I asked someone to send me a few reactions (to the photo),” she told MTV at the New York Premiere of One Fine Day.

“meh” “unflattering” “underwhelming” and “big whoop” were among the tepid reviews at MT and elsewhere.

Well, there is hope, according to the woman who wears it:

“What I am happy to say is: if you didn’t like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do.”

That’s nice, Anne, it really is. But all the suit is supposed to “do” is make you look good and make you look like Catwoman. What we saw last week leave doubts about both.

Chris Dee, author of the popular and influential Catwoman series Cat-Tales, penned a unique response to the photo and the Internet’s reaction to it. The full text will be of more interest to her readers since it is a fictional account in her own universe, but the gist is uniquely on point:

“Don’t you wear goggles when you ride a motorcycle?”

We do.  As non-costumed civilians, we do.  Maybe the reason it there is nothing remotely Catwoman about the outfit is that it is simply Selina Kyle riding a motorcycle?
