Back when everybody knew Catwman was supposed to be sexy and it never would have occurred to anyone to toss around words like “practical” as if it were a good thing, a generation of boys became men watching Michelle Pfeiffer’s whip-wielding Selina Kyle in 1992′s Batman Returns. Iconic does not begin to do her performance justice, but the Cinema Icon award is a start.

WASHINGTON D.C. (April 4, 2012) — Golden Globe Award-winning and three-time Academy Award®-nominated actress Michelle Pfeiffer will receive the “2012 Cinema Icon Award,” it was announced today by CinemaCon’s managing director, Mitch Neuhauser. CinemaCon, the official convention of The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), the largest and most important gathering of cinema owners and operators from around the world, will be held April 23 — 26, 2012 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Pfeiffer will be presented with this special honor at the “CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards” ceremony to take place on Thursday evening, April 26, in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The Coca-Cola Company, the official presenting sponsor of CinemaCon, will host the final night gala awards program.
“Michelle Pfeiffer is truly one of the film industry’s great leading ladies,” noted Neuhauser. “In a remarkable career spanning more than three decades and encompassing dozens of extraordinarily diverse films, she has proven time and time again that she can tackle any role and make it her own. We could not be more thrilled to take this opportunity to honor her with the very first ‘Cinema Icon Award.’”
Pfeiffer will next be seen in Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures’ gothic comedy “Dark Shadows,” when director Tim Burton brings the cult classic series to the big screen. Opening on May 11, 2012, the film features an all-star cast, including Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and ”CinemaCon Female Star of Tomorrow” Chloë Grace Moretz. Pfeiffer stars as Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the matriarch of the mysterious Collins family.
Since her haunting portrayal of Tony Montana’s wife in “Scarface,” Michelle Pfeiffer has gone on to star in a wide array of films. She received Academy Award® nominations for her performances in “Love Field,” “The Fabulous Baker Boys” and “Dangerous Liaisons.” Additionally, she won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in “The Fabulous Baker Boys,” and also received Golden Globe nominations for her work in “The Age of Innocence,” “Love Field,” ”Frankie and Johnny,” “The Russia House” and “Married to the Mob.” Her many additional film credits include “Dangerous Minds,” “Batman Returns,” “I am Sam,” “White Oleander” and “Hairspray.” Most recently, Pfeiffer joined the ensemble cast of Garry Marshall’s “New Year’s Eve.” She can also be seen later this year in the Alex Kurtzman drama “People Like Us.”

Gotham City Impostors Rated Teen for “Sensual” Voice, form-fitting clothing and lingerie Option | Piki Geek
Gotham City Impostors is a first person shooter which places gamers in the role of a vigilante (that’s not Batman) trying to end crime in Gotham – or as a criminal trying to profit as much as possible. The ESRB has given some incredibly descriptive reasons for the T-Rating, including a whole lot of sexy action time:
Some female characters are depicted in form-fitting outfits and lingerie that reveal moderate amounts of cleavage; a “sensual” voice option is also available in the customization menu (e.g., “I hope you bats like it rough.”)
Based on the concept of vigilante justice, it has the makings of a very serious game, but don’t be fooled… it won’t be.
The game includes character profile phrases such as “Cuts the cheese,” “Holding down the fart,” and “I peed on it. It’s mine”; and one comical sequence depicts a baby vomiting onto a refrigerator.
Along with the sexy/corny one-liners, Gotham City Impostors also features blood splatter, violence, and even cursing, although most of the really bad words will be censored through audible bleeps. One cut-scene features a character flipping the bird, although it’s partially obscured.
It looks like Monolith is trying to push the T-rating barrier as far as it will go for this off-shoot entry into the Gotham lore. The concept of team-based multiplayer is always intriguing but we’ll have to wait a little bit longer to tell if this is just a cash-out of the Batman: Arkham series.
There is no release date yet but Gotham City Impostors is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox, and PC as a downloadable title.

Last week’s pictures from the Los Angeles location shooting of The Dark Knight Rises started the Internet buzzing with multiple shots of Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne and Anne Hathaway’s Selina Kyle in their day clothes. ”Classy” “Elegant” and even “Patrician” with regards to Hathaway, terms that have been absent regarding Selina and Catwoman for far too long.

Very Hepburn! The hat. The dress. The presence! So elegant.
When asked if they meant Audrey Hepburn checking out the jewels in Tiffany’s window at Breakfast at Tiffanys, which is certainly apt for Catwoman, the tweeter said no, Katherine Hepburn, the socialite heiress in The Philadelphia Story. That’s apt too. But we’re pretty sure Katherine Hepburn also played a socialite that had a pet leopard. That might suit Catwoman better.

At the time, everyone wondered where this strange hosting choice came from, but a savvy few noted the announcement of the Oscar gig came within days of the news that Hathaway would be playing Selina Kyle, the Catwoman, in Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman epic The Dark Knight Rises. Was this the first subliminal signal that class and style, elegance and privilege were finally to be returned to the Feline Fatale?

Shot in London by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the ads will also bow in October, appearing in fashion magazines worldwide. “The campaign for TOD’s Signature reaches out to a new and younger clientele,” creative director Fabien Baron said in a release, adding that Hathaway was the right woman for the job. “We see a stunningly exquisite Anne as a classic beauty with a modern Italian edge — feminine and strong.”
Hathaway, for her part, is honored to be associated with the brand. “I have been a longtime fan of TOD’s and was very excited to be a part of exploring a new side of their identity with the launch of their Signature Collection,” she added. “The designs are classic and the materials are of the highest quality.”
The handbags themselves — a shoulder bag, portfolio clutch, shopper, pochette and more — feature a pebble motif and come in colors like deep red, fuchsia, lavender and beige.
