Batman may or may not beat Bane, but you know who does week after week?  Anne Hathaway – Selina Kyle – Catwoman.  Week after week.  All i takes is a see-through blouse.  Here she is again, settled in at Number 1.

It takes a lot to push Anne Hathaway in a see-through blouse out of the top three.  It takes an awful lot to displace some composition of Anne, Selina Kyle, Catwoman and the word “sexy” in the top google searches.  The quadruple cocktail of the Operation Early Bird viral screenings of The Dark Knight Rises Prologue, the video being leaked online and pulled down, the script being leaked so we could find out what the heck Bane was saying, and the movie’s star getting roughed up by Chinese police on his way to see a political dissident, that did it.  She’s down to fifth.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and this week the pictures have taken center stage, particularly those of Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne, Batman) and Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle, Catwoman), on set, off set, in costume, in civvies. and in Anne’s case standing up for the 99% at an Occupy Wallstreet protest.  Neither of their top picture is new and the one of Hathaway has been a fixture on the top ten list for obvious reasons.  Why both are topping the charts this week, we can’t guess.  It is the best picture of Bale as Bruce Wayne we’ve ever seen.  In fact, it’s the best picture of anybody as Bruce Wayne.

We knew when fans found contemporary beauties inadequate  and had to go back to Hepburn to describe the “style, presence and patrician elegance” of Anne Hathaway’s Selina Kyle in those last photos from The Dark Knight Rises set, that it was going to be another week where we’d need two lists, one for the Catwoman material and one for the rest of the Batman universe.  We didn’t even figure on DC Comics relaunched Catwoman #1 making good on its promise to restore the sex appeal to our favorite feline.

Everyone from Just Jared to Perez Hilton has been circulating some photos of an Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle) fight scene from the Los Angeles filming of The Dark Knight Rises.

The 28-year-old actress, who plays Catwoman/Selina Kyle, gave it her all as she fought with the stuntman – all while holding a half eaten apple! After Anne won the fight, she continued the scene with an onlooking young boy.

But since in the next paragraph, they link to “Anne on the set in Philadelphia” when it is in fact a stunt woman and not Hathaway in Pittsburgh, most pictures should be taken only at their face value and journalistic interpretations of what is actually being depicted should be taken with a grain of salt.
