Gotham City Rush: Batman Game to play free online

There’s been a rush of Batman games stepping up to fill the void since Arkham City managed to disappoint as many as it pleased.  Not only has DC Online introduced free gameplay, but there is a free online game in the universe of the acclaimed The Brave and the Bold cartoon.

Gotham City Rush is from Epic Play, which is an advertising supported platform that offers free games in exchange for agreement to install the software and receive advertising.  The advertising is served through toolbars, in-text and pop-up/under ads, so it’s not to everyone’s taste. (Our virus protection initially rejected the download).  But we at Gotham Trending are fans of The Brave and the Bold, and expect a more positive Batman-game experience here than from either Arkham City or something as tied to current DC Comics as DC Online.

One of the biggest problems in Batman comics and Batman related media like Arkham City is they have made everything so dark and gritty, they’ve forgotten that comic book superheroes should be fun.  Cartoons like Batman: The Brave and the Bold and games like Gotham City Imposters remember, but they are few and far between.  Often it falls to real Batman fans like this to save the  fandom from itself.
